The Pixies are back and all is well with the world; but this time it’s not just for an incredible, worldwide, sold out tour.  Now they’ve got a brand new four song EP and new videos to go along with their reformatted line-up.  ‘Indie Cindy‘ is the latest video from the rock band that helped spawn and inspire much of the early 90s alt/grunge craze.  It’s directed by Lamar + Nik; the Oklahoman duo has been on a tear lately, putting together an impressive catalogue that includes, in addition to another Pixies title, Lushlife’s breakout clip for ‘Magnolia.’

Presented in reverse order, Memento

style, ‘Indie Cindy’ is a video about what happens when you get in over your head.  It’s told with such a strong narrative structure, you could almost consider it a short film.  It is a testament to the band’s new approach to their image that they’re spending time making such great music videos.  The Pixies have been able to make a strong comeback with a new sound that accurately blends their ‘punkier’ old days with the rock and roll twang of front man Frank Black’s solo efforts.  Always a big draw live, the majority of their upcoming tour are sold out; so expect them to do more live dates around their rumored full length release.
