Must-Watch Music Videos: Vic Mensa Shows Us Why We Love ‘Orange Soda’

The phenomenal rap funk, Roots-eqsue, group of music prodigies Kids These Days may have broken up recently but that doesn’t mean the members are done making music. First off the block is the new video/track from former lead singer Vic Mensa. It’s hook heavy, beat happy and most definitely summer time party friendly.

Already a veteran musician at the ripe old age of 18, Vic is a Chicago based rapper with a straight up “posi” flow. A vibe that garners constant comparisons to his cohort and similarly upbeat Chi-town based MC, Chance tha Rapper. Vic’s tunes are perfect for blasting from a hot rooftop

while sitting in a kiddie pool. ‘Orange Soda’ is a summer jam session complete with all of the party essentials: orange crush, inflatables, girls, and that stuff another famous Chicago native smoked one time in college.

This is also the second video from Vic’s forthcoming new mixtape, INANETAPE, which is set to drop later this summer.  There’s no release date yet so be sure to check back here for updates.
