Auralnauts’ Bane Soundboard Is An Absolutely Insane Way To Use YouTube

Auralnauts defines itself as “a collective that makes things“. More specifically, it is a group that makes fun YouTube remixes based on iconic moments from popular film franchises. After putting its own spin on The Dark Knight Rises, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, Auralnauts has released its more audacious project yet. The group has posted a YouTube soundboard that allows users to join in on the Batman-remixing fun.

The video, which runs for more than 21 minutes, is based off of Auralnauts’ first YouTube video, a freestyle rap sung by Bane, The Dark Knight Rises‘ uniquely-voiced villain. It is best described as a soundboard, though this hardly does the video justice. Unlike most other soundboards, which feature a host of buttons and are best at enabling the user to launch Jeff Goldblum-voiced prank calls, the Bane Soundboard helps users construct own Bane freestyles. The soundboard is a series of annotations, each one skipping to a different part of the video and playing a short clip before re-pausing the video. There are also backing beats that open in a new window and some beat-boxing options. If you want to mess around with it, I hope you have a strong internet connection.

I’ve never seen anything like this on YouTube, so the Auralnauts definitely get an A+ for creativity. Why the group didn’t just make a flash soundboard like everyone else, I don’t know, but I hardly care because I’m too busy testing out my own skills as a YouTube hip-hop producer. I hear that’s where the money is these days.
