Honest Trailers, the crown jewel of Break‘s Screen Junkies channel, has just released its latest installment, a musical skewering of the recent Les Miserables film. If you don’t already follow Screen Junkies, this episode is further proof that the film-focused comedy channel should be at the top of your subscriptions list.
For the uninitiated, Honest Trailers mocks recent films by exposing their apparent flaws in the style of a badass movie trailer. If you’re just starting out, I find The Avengers to be a good jumping-off point, but for the millions of you who have already seen an Honest Trailers episode, I hope you’ll agree that the Les Miserables
version is spot on. If you disliked the movie, you’ll nod your head in approval. If you enjoyed it, then you can stop being so humorless and enjoy a good laugh. My one complaint? The narrator’s surprisingly powerful singing voice made me jealous. You’re telling me this guy has an awesome deep voice AND some big-time singing chops? What did he do to get such a high number in the genetic lottery? I’d be happy with either of those gifts. Oh well. At least our narrating, singing pal is putting is talents to good use.
