My Damn Channel Partners With MSN For Two Original Series

My Damn Channel recently launched a full-fledged multi-channel comedy network, and it looks as if MDC’s upward move is allowing it to move outside of YouTube, showcasing its talented creators on every corner of the Internet. Two new shows–one of which features YouTube notable Mark Malkoff–will debut for the MDC Comedy Network on MSN‘s video portal.

Malkoff‘s series will be titled The Mark Malkoff Challenge, and will continue his trend of pulling enough stunts to be the David Blaine of online video. In the spirit of his Netflix binging, bus racing, and Bill Murray Stalking, Malkoff will undergo a different challenge every week. Now, when I see a guy cruising through New York City on a big wheel bike, I’ll know what’s up.

Joining Malkoff on MSN will be pro games Brian and Mike, who will create Life: A Gamer’s Guide. The duo’s series will apply video game logic to real life, a tried and true formula that has long been an Internet video success.

The two series will also become available on the My Damn Channel Comedy Network at a later date. My Damn Channel CEO Rob Barnett discussed the new joint venture:

“While My Damn Channel Comedy Network continues to acquire and produce original series, we’re expanding our list of premium partners by announcing our new deal with Microsoft that will include licensing My Damn Channel originals to MSN and the production of new, original comedy. The MSN executive team gave us the green light—twice—with full season orders on two original series to start our partnership, and we’re excited to bring our brand of professionally-created laughter to a whole new audience.”

We’ll have more on this as details come out, but it seems like a clear step forward for My Damn Channel. It’s as if someone dared Mark Malkoff to make a cool web series outside of YouTube. Hmm…
