AwesomenessTV Dishing Out Celeb Gossip With ‘The Bop Report’

If there’s one thing teens like more than angst, it’s twee pop celebrities. AwesomenessTV, the YouTube channel dedicated to pubescent boys and girls, understands this. The YouTube Original Channel has partnered with Bop Magazine to bring viewers The Bop Report, which consolidates all the gossipy news items teens love into one simple location.

A recent episode of The Bop Report gives us a good idea of what it’s all about: Taylor Swift, One Direction, Selena Gomez, One Direction, Justin Bieber, One Direction, One Direction, One Direction, ad infinitum. Throw in a few references to the latest YouTube trends (in this case, #MyBoyfriendDoesMyMakeup) and you have the formula for a show that has already accumulated several hundred thousand views in just a few months.

magazine has increased its status as a go-to publication for gossipy news. “Working with AwesomenessTV gives us the opportunity to bring BOP magazine to life in a fun and entertaining way so that we can directly engage with our readers,” said Leesa Coble, the magazine’s editor in chief.  “We benefit from AwesomenessTV’s production and online savvy while they benefit from our content and brand recognition.”

As for Awesomeness, the teen hub continues to turn young celebs into views. “BOP is an iconic teen brand that shares our AwesomenessTV passion for super serving the teen audience, so we jumped at the opportunity to introduce BOP print content to the online video world.” said AwesomenessTV creator Brian Robbins.  “I remember being in BOP, so it’s pretty cool to be partnering with them for BOP Report.” We get it, Brian. You’re way cooler than we are.
