Amazon isn’t the only entity looking for cast members to fill out its web series slate. Eater is trying to find talent, too.
The self-described “source for people who care about dining and drinking in the nation’s most important food cities” recently announced it’s actively seeking New York City-based comedians to appear as on-camera hosts and commentators in at least a couple of “crazy new web video projects in the works.” If you’re funny, a foodie, and are familiar with the names David Chang, Danny Bowein, Andy Ricker, Auguste Escoffier, send a reel to jobs@eater.com “along with a short description of yourself and your interest in the gig.”
No word yet on whether the Eater programs will focus on gonzo food porn, how-to cooking vids, or something else entirely, but I’d expect some a slightly snarky, but informative tone and insider-y vantage points that’s still palatable to mainstream audiences. Stay tuned.
