Golden Sisters To Take Raw Opinions From YouTube To Oprah’s OWN

What do you get when you combine three elderly sisters, a video camera, and the Kim Kardashian sex tape? The answer is 3 Golden Sisters, a YouTube channel that became a viral hit earlier this year when the three titular siblings, Mary, Josie, and Teresa, posted a video of their reaction to the widely distributed pornographic video. Now, the Internet’s Golden Girls are taking their act to TV. The trio will star in an upcoming reality series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN channel.

The sisters’ show is titled Golden Sisters, and it will hit OWN sometime in 2013. Each episode will feature the aged triumvirate running a salon and dishing out their unfiltered advice on dating, sex, and culture. It should be a sassy combination of Elders React and a couple glasses of wine, featuring the sort of humor present in the Golden Sisters’ now famous viral video.

The series will be produced by LMNO Productions. “We have a lot of information that this world has to know,” elder sister Mary said. “We’ve lived it you know? Whatever we tell you, whatever we’ve learned, we let want everyone to know.”

The Golden Sisters are living proof that the only ingredients for a successful web-series-to-TV transition are  brash attitude + pop culture awareness + time. By those criteria, we should be getting a Shane Dawson TV transition any day now.
