‘Inspector Spacetime’ Web Series Adaptation Gunning For Season 2

Given the large number of rabid Community and Doctor Who fans on the Internet, it should come as no surprise that creator Travis Richey‘s off-brand web series adaptation of Community‘s Inspector Spacetime running gag was a modest hit. The first episode of the series, which is officially titled Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time, has been viewed over 115 thousand times, and the show was well-received throughout its six episode run, which concluded in mid-October.

The finale teased viewers about more UWSAASTWCATTT, telling us about future episodes that will definitely NOT tie up the many loose ends created by the first series (in a clear homage to the original Doctor Who

show and its long-running nature). Sure enough, Richey is planning to return with a second season of Inspector Spacetime fun, and while he hasn’t worked with NBC to make his work an official web companion, he has enlisted the help vlogger Helenna Santos-Levy as a producer and guest star.

Santos-Levy, who has acted in several high-profile films, seems excited to join up with the UWSAASTWCATTT team. “I’m a big fan of this show,” she said. “It’s an honor to come on as a producer and also act in the series.  Travis and Eric have created a rich world of possibilities, or should I say worlds. I’m excited to help bring another season to the fans and to those who are new to The Inspector’s travels.”

Looks like the parody of a parody of Doctor Who will return soon. The question, though, is not WHEN the new episodes will be released, but rather, uh…

…crap, looks like I blew that one.
