The Writers Guild of America East and West announced last October that for the first time in the 62 years of honoring excellence in film, television, and radio, its WGA awards will also recognize outstanding writing in new media.
Two WGA New Media Writing Award categories were added to the lineup for the 2011 ceremonies, including Outstanding Achievement in Writing Original New Media and Outstanding Achievement in Writing Derivative New Media. Today, the Writers Guild announced the nominees:

Digital recognition and honors will be dispensed at a live, simultaneous, bi-coastal WGA Awards Ceremonies on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the AXA Equitable Center in New York City and simultaneously at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel-Grand Ballroom in Los Angeles.
