Created and hosted by MSNBC news contributor Cenk Uygur, The Young Turks has established a large and loyal following—last spring the series earned a Streamy Awards audience choice nomination, which is determined by the number of submissions from the shows’ fans. The series has released more than 7,000 videos and provides new episodes multiple times each day, with a two hour live-streaming show every weekday.
“The Young Turks has enjoyed tremendous success as one of the most popular YouTube channels with our more than 23
million monthly viewers,” said Uygur. “With Revision3, our content will now be available on a wide range of platforms including iTunes, Dailymotion, Metacafe, TIVO, Roku, Blip.TV and many others. We look to expand our core viewership to a new engaged audience through Revision3’s vast fan base.”The Young Turks will release episodes 5 days a week on Revision3 and YouTube, with episodes focusing on politics, pop culture, sports, and entertainment.
“We couldn’t be more happy to be working with The Young Turks,” said Ryan Vance, Vice President of Programming and Production at Revision3. “They have built a gigantic audience online and we look forward to helping them reach the next level with our integrated sponsorship model and distribution. We are excited to bring our audience a show which highlights news and current events—TYT is doing this better than anyone else.”
