Erotic Sci-Fi in The Fold

As Google and other giants struggle to find the money in online video, innovating artists continue to push the medium. 

With a meager budget “that wouldn’t buy you a used car”, creators of TheFold.tvPolly Frost (who authored a collection of sexually oriented horror and sci-fi stories dubbed, Deep Inside) her husband Ray Sawhill, and recent NYU grad Matt Lambert — have created a polished, erotically-charged science fiction spoof with impressive production value.  I’m thinking Galacticast with more characters, a contiguous arc and stronger sexual overtones. 

The series debuts August 4th. We’ll withhold judgment until we see a few installments, but the trailer is compelling enough to share now…

The creators say they see the web as “a viable movie-like experience in its own right.”  We agree: it’s equally viable, but it’s also distinct.  Hopefully, they’ll incorporate the trends that have made the web a unique medium.
