Then again, sometimes actors are written off a series, and what better way to get a new role than to make one up?
Former Weeds’ star, Romany Malco, who’s time on the hit Showtime original series has expired for reasons unknown, has moved on to smaller and better things. He’s developing a character named “Tijuana Jackson, a former convict living under house arrest” who makes a deal to stay out of prison by promising to support the three women (prostitutes) living with him. The webshow will be released in weekly installments on YouTube, Entertainment Weekly reports
If he can sustain that level of entertainment through his own series, I’ll be watching.
The development also makes me stop and think, as the threat of an the actor’s strike looms larger, will we see many similar announcements in the coming weeks?
