Sotheby's Gives You a Private View

Record-setting auctions at art houses within a red hot market wouldn’t normally make the headlines of Tilzy.TV, but in the case of Sotheby’s – the largest art auction house in the world which recently made its video content available to the masses – they make for some engaging internet TV.

The most recent installment of Sotheby’s Private View

shows rock star auctioneer Tobias Meyer highlighting some of the masterpieces that sold last week for ungodly sums.

We’re always excited by the ways in which interactive television enhances the entertainment experience for viewers, and Sotheby’s video content is a perfect example of the richness (pardon the pun) of new television. It allows all of us to hear some insightful commentary from world class experts and appreciate the beauty of an original Rothko at our leisure…even if its not displayed in our living room.
