For T-Series, the good times just keep on rolling. After leading the Global Top 50 for all of September, the Indian entertainment company kept its winning streak active as the calendar turned over to October. With 974.7 million weekly views, the most-watched channel in YouTube history surpassed 358 billion lifetime views.

Other channels don’t have 358 billion views (or anything close to that), but T-Series isn’t the only YouTube hub pushing one billion weekly views. A tried-and-true category is suddenly surging, and that’s good news for some Top 50 regulars.
Go go gadget viewership!
Longtime readers of this column will know the name MaviGadget. By delivering a deep catalog of YouTube Shorts clips, MaviGadget has earned several #1 finishes in our weekly and monthly rankings.
In our first Global Top 50 of October, MaviGadget is back in a prominent position. It finished second, trailing only T-Series, after collecting 909.6 million weekly views. That’s not the highest seven-day tally MaviGadget has posted since the start of 2026, but it represents a vast uptick over the channel’s previous weekly view counts.
When MaviGadget surges forward, what conclusions can we draw? The simplest takeaway concerns the popularity of tech videos. Shorts viewers love uploads that feature the latest gizmos and consumer products, and MaviGadget delivers that content in spades. If you want to check out the function of a bedside washing machine or a tennis training device, this week’s #2 channel has you covered.
There’s another explanation for MaviGadget’s resurgence: Ecommerce. YouTube is making its platform more shoppable than ever, which is great news for channels that can link their videos to product listings. The MaviGadget team makes sure viewers can buy the bizarre items they see in the channel’s most popular Shorts.
YouTube’s ecommerce push doesn’t just lift up channels that engage in a fast-paced form of affiliate marketing. It also benefits creators who can adopt the language of shoppable tech videos, even if those clips don’t connect to specific products.
Tech Master is an Indian creator who is his country’s answer to the likes of Marques Brownlee and Mrwhosetheboss. He combines recommendations with comedy by satirizing iPhone release trends and reckless motor scooter operators. Those videos have helped him reach 32nd place in the Global Top 50 with 361.3 millio nweekly views.
Though Tech Master doesn’t sell phones or scooters himself, he borrows phrasing from videos that do. His summer gadget recommendations have received millions of views while benefiting indirectly from YouTube’s shoppable features.
As long as viewers continue to buy tech products through YouTube, there will be a niche for channels like Tech Master. Even without their own listings, those creators reach plugged-in buyers.
Let’s call it the MaviGadget index. As long as the formidable channel is near the top of our ranking, you can get that other gizmo-loving creators won’t be far behind.
