After eight quiet months, Kai Cenat returns with a magical trailer for Streamer University 2026

Since the conclusion of Kai Cenat‘s month-long Mafiathon 3 event last October, his Twitch account has been dormant. His 20 million followers have had to subsist on clips as they wait for the Bronx native to return to streaming. The hiatus has gone on for so long that some people, including fellow creator YourRAGE, have hypothesized that Cenat’s time on Twitch is a thing of the past.

At the start of June, however, Cenat confirmed that his streaming career is not over yet. He is returning to Twitch in a big way by bringing back one of his most ambitious projects. Streamer University 2, the sequel to a 2025 event that featured more than 150 digital luminaries, is on the horizon.

Cenat loves to hype upcoming happenings with splashy trailers, and he utilized that strategy once again to promote his return to Streamer University. As with the first edition of the event, Cenat starred in a teaser video that has serious Hogwarts vibes. This time, however, the castle has been overrun with owls.

A streamer school filled with strigine students would be a hoot, but Cenat invited human creators to apply instead. The Streamer University trailer also notes that “selected alumni will return” for the 2026 school year.

The wide breadth of talent featured during the inaugural Streamer University session helped turn the event into an unqualified success. With Cenat starring as headmaster and his AMP brethren like Duke Dennis and Agent 00 serving as professors, Streamer University attracted a star-studded class to the University of Akron campus while pulling in 27 million hours of watch time.

Will the second season of streamer tutelage get an A-plus grade like its predecessor? Cenat’s long break from Twitch has certainly lowered his profile, but the massive viewership on the Streamer U 2026 trailer — which got 2.5 million Instagram likes in less than two days — shows that Cenat still has a certain je ne sais quoi. If you want to learn the secrets of successful creators, Cenat is still as good a teacher as any, even if he’ll have to clean up a lot of owl droppings before Streamer University reopens its doors.
