After FaZe Clan’s epic collapse, it’s CORE members are reuniting with a new creator group

Five months after FaZe Clan‘s collapse, some of its best-known alumni are looking to bring back the sense of camaraderie that defined the gaming and content organization at its peak. Marlon, Adapt, Lacy, Stable Ronaldo, Silky, and JasonTheWeen are the founding members of CORE, a new group that will be centered around a classic creator house setup.

All six members of the CORE crew were previously signed to FaZe Clan. At its peak, FaZe was a power player that operated at the intersection of gaming, entertainment, and creator content. Last Christmas, however, the majority of FaZe’s creator roster suddenly left the organization, turning it into a shell of its former self. CORE’s founding members all participated in that mass exodus.

The drama surrounding FaZe Clan has often stemmed from attempts to increase the brand’s scope and visibility. Its plan to become a publicly-traded company backfired when investors didn’t deliver the funding FaZe needed. Then, with a sale to esports company GameSquare, FaZe gained founding member FaZe Banks as its CEO and built a roster that included both familiar and new members. Two years later, the exodus occurred.

Amid all that turmoil, longtime FaZe members argued

that the org should look inward and return to its roots. That’s what CORE aims to do. Its name stands for “Create, Own, Run, Everything,” a motto that alludes to the feeling of creator empowerment FaZe was once known for. And by hanging out at a $20 million house, the members of CORE will be able to produce the old-school vlog content that populated FaZe’s channels in previous years.

FaZe Banks is not a CORE member, though he is supporting the group’s mission. In a live stream, he claimed that FaZe “succeeded” thanks to his support, though he acknowledged the financial uncertainty that contributed to the org’s creator exodus. “I thought…in good faith that if we did a good job, we’d figure the business out later,” Banks said.

The members of CORE will have a chance to correct some of FaZe’s mistakes. In 2026, it’s tricky to pull off a return to the glory days of gaming entertainment, but FaZe fans have always been attached to that sense of nostalgia, and six big-name creators can now bring it to them.
