Kai Cenat wants ‘Mafiathon 2’ to break the internet, so he hit up Kim Kardashian

Kai Cenat wants his fans to get excited for his upcoming Twitch marathon. To build up some serious hype, Cenat enlisted one of the ten most-followed celebrities on Instagram. The surging streamer invited Kim Kardashian to co-star in a trailer for his second Mafiathon, which is slated to begin on November 1.

Cenat’s first Mafiathon took place this past February, and it shattered Twitch records. Toward the end of his month-long streaming marathon, Cenat became the all-time most-subscribed creator on the Amazon-owned streaming hub. That record has since been eclipsed by the VTuber Ironmouse, who attracted 321,000 concurrent Twitch subs to surpass Cenat’s mark.

The 22-year-old Cenat has been clear that he intends to take his record back from Ironmouse, and Mafiathon 2 — which is expected to run for the entire month of November — will be his best chance to achieve that goal. Kai’s fans (his mafia

, hence the event name) will watch his stream as he eats, sleeps, and shoots the breeze with his many famous friends.

As he embarks on his ambitious mission, Cenat is hanging around with someone who knows a thing or two about breaking the internet. In the Mafiathon 2 trailer, Kardashian channels Dr. Melfi from The Sopranos by portraying Cenat’s therapist. The two social media standouts discussed Cenat’s role in a 2023 New York City riot, his philanthropy in Nigeria, and his streams with superstars like John Cena. Kardashian even snuck in a jab at Cenat’s lost Twitch record.

Kardashian is no stranger to creator culture, as her two eldest children have introduced her to some of the internet’s spiciest memes. Her 11-year-old daughter North West recently gifted her a skibidi toilet necklace. Her eight-year-old son Saint West is active online as well, though Kardashian made him sign a contract before launching his personal channel.

If Kardashian continues her collaboration with Cenat during Mafiathon 2, she could mobilize her 360 million Insta followers and ensure that her Bronx-born buddy reclaims his subscriber record. But even if Kardashian’s support ends in the Mafiathon 2 trailer, Cenat is still a good bet to outpace Ironmouse once again. He’ll have 30 days to exceed her mark, so feel free to track his progress by visiting his Twitch channel during November.
