Dude Perfect just fired up its own custom ‘Fortnite’ mode

Dude Perfect is getting its game on.

The five-man trickshot group, which has more than 60 million subscribers on YouTube and recently scored a nine-figure investment, is launching Dude Perfect Dodgeball, a 16-person Fortnite mode set on its own branded island within the game.

Dude Perfect–aka Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert, and brothers Coby and Cory Cotton–teamed up with GoPro, Cherry Pick Talent, and CreatorsCorp to make the mode in Fortnite Creative, Fortnite‘s game developer/user-generated content creation tool. (Like Roblox, Fortnite pays out to people who make custom islands and experiences that players can visit. Over the last 12 months, it’s paid out more than $320 million to Creative creators, including 40 creators who made over $1 million each in that timeframe.)

The dudes’ dodgeball mode is themed around an upcoming YouTube video that’s sponsored by GoPro and dropping June 1. It’s not your typical dodgeball–it’s battle royale-style. Sixteen players will spawn on a GoPro-and-Dude Perfect-branded yacht, and be greeted by a Fornitified version of Toney, who’ll escort them onto the island. They’ll have to traverse beach and jungle to find power-up orbs, all while taking out other players with a blaster that fires dodgeballs.

Fortnite is a natural fit for us to give our fans a way to immerse themselves in games, just like we do,” Coby Cotton said in a statement. “As our first entry to Fortnite, we wanted to create a game that embodies the spirit of Dude Perfect, and dodgeball combines both the sports and high energy our team loves to feature in our content. There will be more coming, and we hope to see you in the game!”

Agatha Bleuzen, Managing Director of London-based influencer marketing agency Cherry Pick Talent, added that the dudes’ foray into Fortnite “isn’t a one and done, so we’ll have more ways for brands to partner and connect with Dude Perfect’s captivated audience down the line.”

Outside of the virtual world, Dude Perfect is up to some interesting stuff. It just premiered its own ESPN 30 for 30 film, Dude Perfect: A Very Long Shot, and is constructing a massive $100+ million headquarters that’ll be open for fan visits.
