Noah Beck talks love, life, and Iphis in first episode of new digital series ‘Marshall Will Pick You Up’

Gen Z venture capitalist Marshall Sandman is giving his friends a ride in his new Portal A-funded digital series.

Portal A grabbed Marshall Will Pick You Up late last year as part of its $500,000 Moonshots program, where it invests in producing digital content. The series is one of nine projects announced as part of that slate, and now it’s officially live on YouTube.

In each episode, Sandman–a New York City-based Goldman Sachs banker turned VC investor and entrepreneur–fetches a high-profile friend from the airport for “unfiltered and intimate conversations on business, love, and life,” per the series’ official description.

Marshall Will Pick You Up is the first time in my years of working in this industry that I’m able to show what building these relationships really looks like on the inside,” Sandman said in a statement. “The series gives viewers an inside look at the trust and the candor (and the joy) that goes into building businesses and developing these friendships.”

The first episode features Noah Beck, who has more than 33 million followers on TikTok. Their talk (which was filmed with Sandman driving in real time in NYC traffic) is cut down to a tight six minutes where they talk about Beck’s dating life, what it’s like to go viral on TikTok, and the business ventures he’s parlayed that virality into, including Iphis

, the agender underwear brand he and Sandman launched together in 2023.

Beck also reveals that despite TikTok being his main social home, there’s another platform he’s passionate about: Pinterest.

“I think when we started this business, I was getting a full Pinterest board from you once every six hours,” Sandman laughs. “You fucking love Pinterest.”

“I love Pinterest,” Beck agrees. “I wish I could just show you my brain and be like, ‘This is how I see it.’ Especially when it’s a brand where it’s so heavily based off the marketing and the look and the community and the feel and the aesthetic.”

We won’t spoil any more of their chat; you can check out the full episode right here.

As for what Marshall Will Pick You Up has coming next, Sandman has booked three more guests, including Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, rapper/Dave star GaTa, and creator/actor/poet Mads Lewis, who has 20+ million followers across TikTok and Instagram. Their episodes will also debut on the series’ dedicated YouTube channel.
