‘Dimension 20’ is raiding Madison Square Garden

Dimension 20, Dropout‘s Dungeons & Dragons show, is coming to Madison Square Garden for a night of live TTRPG adventure.

Dimension 20: Gauntlet at the Garden will bring together the full D20 squad, including dungeon master Brennan Lee Mulligan and players Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson, who’ve been dungeoning and dragoning together since 2018.

The show will be part of the group’s Unsleeping City campaign, which is set in a fictional (as far as we know…) and clandestine sixth borough of New York City that’s powered by magic and populated by supernatural residents. So, of course, it is appropriate that the event–which is Dimension 20‘s first U.S. live show since 2019–is also taking place in NYC.

Dimension 20: Gauntlet at the Garden takes place Jan. 24, 2025. Since the show’s unveiling earlier this month, there’s been some fan backlash against surging ticket prices, which Dimension 20 addressed on Twitter.

“Dynamic Pricing / Platinum Tickets had not been something explained to us, nor something presented as something we had the ability to opt out of,” the show’s official account said April 14. It added that most of the 15,000 tickets sold by that point had been priced at around $119, “meaning that the vast majority of fans attending got tickets at a much more reasonable price, and dynamic pricing nonsense only kicked in for the few remaining seats.”

Dropout has since communicated with Live Nation and has opted out of dynamic pricing for all of its future live events, Dimension 20 said.

For those still hoping to grab a ticket to the show, Dimension 20 is holding a lottery where “selected individuals will have the opportunity to buy up to two tickets for $35/each.”

More information about the lottery will be posted soon, the cast said. (They are currently on their first live tour, a one-week, four-stop U.K. junket that ends April 23 in Dublin.)

And, for those who aren’t able to get tickets, a full recording of the live show will go up on Dropout and be free for all subscribers.

“We want to make our live shows as accessible to fans as possible, but the truth is that if you can’t get to New York, if you can’t get the night off work, if you can’t afford the flight or the hotel, then you still can’t go regardless of ticket prices,” Dimension 20 said. “The most significant thing to us is that the live shows end up where the show itself lives, and that all of our fans all over the world get a chance to participate.”
