MrBeast is reportedly closing a $100 million TV show deal with Amazon

MrBeast is reportedly on the verge of closing a $100 million TV show deal with Amazon Studios.

According to Matthew Belloni at Puck, MrBeast’s team began pitching a TV show to various streaming services last week. Amazon must have been eager to snap it up, because the deal is “now closing,” with Head of Amazon & MGM Studios Jennifer Salke spearheading it, Belloni reports.

A source familiar with the matter told Belloni the deal is worth “nearly $100 million,” but that information isn’t confirmed, and Amazon declined to comment.

The same source said MrBeast’s show will follow the path laid out by his YouTube content: it’ll be an unscripted competition series, presumably one where the winner will walk away with a nice chunk of change and/or some other high-end prize.

The show’s first episode will reportedly air first on MrBeast’s YouTube channel before airing on Prime Video.

It’s not surprising Amazon jumped at the chance to get MrBeast on board. His main YouTube channel has 233 million subscribers and brings in over 2 billion views per month, per data from our Gospel Stats. That’s a lot of potential eyeballs coming to Prime Video–and, considering Amazon is going to begin showing ads to all Prime subscribers Jan. 29, it could be a lot of potential ad revenue, too.

Tubefilter reached out to MrBeast’s team for info about the potential deal and series. They declined to comment.
