This database helps content creators find managers

Creator services company Beacons has launched a database where creators and managers can find one another.

Beacons was founded in 2019 by CEO Neal Jean, CTO David Zeng, CPO Jesse Zhang, and chief engineering officer Greg Luppescu, all of whom met while doing their PhDs in machine learning at Stanford. It launched as a link-in-bio company and now offers 14 different applications where creators can manage audience engagement, brand deals, and business finances.

Its latest drop is the aforementioned database, which was built using data from the 3 million creators who use Beacons’ services, the company tells Tubefilter.

The database–which is free to access–has information about more than 10,000 managers and agencies who work with content creators. Creators can filter search managers/agencies by dozens of content categories, like beauty, education, ASMR, gaming, narrative storytelling, podcasts, pets, food, and more. They can also search by general geographic location and by the size of the management company/agency.

Beacons also put together a list of what it considers the top 125 managers and agencies in the creator industry; some of those 125 are CAA, UTA, WME, Viral Nation, Night, Select Management Group, and Whalar.

Jean tells Tubefilter Beacons wanted to put this database together because “creator managers are often the first, only, and most important teammate for creators.”

“Since 2000, the number of creator management agencies has grown 15X. This shows the growth of the creator economy and the corresponding talent management market but also makes it harder for creators to cut through the noise and find managers best suited for them,” he says. “We put together the Beacons creator manager database and 2023 top creator management agencies list to help creators cut through this noise.”

The database is available here.
