Logan Paul has renewed his WWE contract. Is a UFC move coming next?

Logan Paul‘s first year as a professional wrestler has been eventful. Since making his Wrestlemania debut last April, the elder Paul brother has made dramatic entrances into the ring, endured a knee injury, and texted with ring legends. He will now begin the next chapter in his WWE career after re-upping his contract with the Connecticut-based company.

Paul announced the contract renewal with a tweet. He posed alongside a bottle of Prime, as if to remind his fans that his blockbuster year included big moments in both the squared circle and the boardroom.

Though Paul has been a fixture on the WWE circuit since trading his boxing gloves for a wrestling costume, his contract came up for renewal after Wrestlemania 39, which began on April 1. At that event, Paul took on WWE icon Seth Rollins and got an assist from KSI, who dressed up as a human-sized Prime bottle.

Paul’s appearances at Wrestlemania are helping him grow his buzzy beverage brand, and his affiliation with the WWE could soon bring him to a new arena: The Octagon. Now that the WWE and UFC are set to merge, wrestlers like Paul may find new opportunities in the world of mixed martial arts.

The man dubbed The Ultimate Influencer has indicated that he has some interest in a UFC career. After the WWE/UFC deal was announced, Paul called out Tyson Fury, who recently became the first boxer to defeat Logan’s brother Jake. Though Logan’s own influencer boxing days are behind him, he sought vengeance for his brother by challenging Fury to an MMA fight.

Like so many Logan Paul plans, there’s a good chance his clash with Fury never comes to fruition. But even if he doesn’t step into the Octagon, Paul’s time as a pro wrestler has proven fruitful. With more WWE events on the horizon, there will be more chances for Paul to cement his star status (and advertise Prime along the way).
