Bretman Rock stays busy with first book, Paris Hilton collab

In 2022, Bretman Rock‘s credits included a new season of his MTV series and a hosting gig in the metaverse. As the calendar turns over, the multi-hyphenate influencer is keeping pace with his busy schedule.

Rock’s first book, titled You’re That Bitchhas received a Valentine’s Day release date. Meanwhile, on the internet, the Filipino star is expanding his partnership with Klarna by launching a Y2K-themed campaign alongside socialite Paris Hilton.

You’re That Bitch, published by HarperCollins, is available across major booksellers as of February 14. According to the book’s subtitle, it will offer readers “cute lessons about being unapologetically yourself.”

In more practical terms, You’re That Bitch is an essay collection that also includes recipes, drawings, and musings about Rock’s life as a social media star. The book’s official description describes Rock as a “superstar influencer” who has become “one of the first digital celbrities” while also being “that bitch.”

You’ll have to read You’re That Bitch to learn “who is Bretman Rock Sacayanan behind the screen,” but if you’d rather watch his online work, his new Klarna collab is a good example of his glamorous personality. Rock has served as a brand ambassador for the Swedish fintech company since 2020.

A team-up with Paris Hilton invites nostalgic references to the 2000s, and the Klarna campaign delivers. Rock uses a corded phone to dial a Juicy Couture-clad Hilton, who is prompted to “spread the cost” of purchases by using Klarna’s app.

Accoring to The Hollywood Reporter, the campaign will debut on Rock and Hilton’s respective social channels on February 27. The duo also evaluated 2000s trends for a behind-the-scenes video.

Rock may seem busy, but he has his eyes on even bigger premieres. “I’m tired of being on everybody’s phone, so I think it’s time to get Bretman Rock a movie,” he told THR.

While we wait for Bretman Rock: The Movie, his fans will get a chance to enjoy his literary work. An except from the intro of You’re That Bitch is available via Cosmopolitan.
