Underscore Talent inks management deals with 12 gamers, including CDawgVA and Arteezy

The gaming division at Underscore Talent is keeping busy. The “next-generation talent management firm” has added a dozen new clients, ranging from esports stars to pop culture podcast hosts.

The gamers who are linking up with Underscore reach millions of followers across platforms like YouTube and Twitch. Some signees, like Welsh voice actor CDawgVA (real name Connor Marc Colquhoun), are known more for commentary than gameplay. Colquhoun is a co-host of the popular anime podcast Trash Taste, which is available in audio and video formats.

Other Underscore clients are known names in the professional gaming scene. Juan “HungryBox” DeBiedma is a famous figure in the world of Super Smash Bros, while Artour “Arteezy” Babaev is an iconic member of the Dota 2 community. Underscore is also working with additional gamers who are signed to major esports teams. Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro is a Call of Duty player affiliated with OpTic Gaming, and 20-year-old Sam “s0m” Oh has attracted accolades and brand deals thanks to his play on the Valorant circuit.

CDawgVA, HungryBox, Arteezy, Shotzzy, and s0m are joined at Underscore by gamers ShivFPS

, IceManIsacc, Jake Lucky, Kaleb “Moose” Jayne, Quinn Callahan, Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen, and Chet Singh. The new signings were announced by the co-heads of the management firm’s gaming division, Daniel Kang and Bill Kenney. “As we see continued growth within gaming in 2023, we are excited to expand our roster, and work with creators who have built brands and businesses with the sentiment of expanding into multiple verticals within entertainment,” reads a statement from Underscore.

Underscore launched its gaming division in 2021, about six months after its initial establishment. VTuber Code Miko and Call of Duty star Scump were two of the gaming division’s first partners. Underscore has helped those creators expand their distribution and snag brand deals — and its newest signees are primed for similar growth.

The expansion of Underscore’s esports roster comes two months after the company sold a majority stake in its business. Cyprus-based studio TheSoul Publishing acquired the controlling share for an undisclosed sum.
