OnlyFans links up with Spring to enable merch sales for its creators

OnlyFans is putting some naughty items on your holiday shopping list. The adult content destination has teamed up with Spring to open creator stores across its platform.

Thanks to the partnership, creators will be able to sell more than 120 products on OnlyFans, including shirts, mugs, and phone cases branded with custom slogans. Sellers will be able to name their price, and their cut of the resulting revenue will be the same as any other Spring store. The merch vendor, which was recently acquired by fellow ecommerce company Amaze, has preexisting integrations with platforms like YouTube and Facebook.

According to TechCrunch, OnlyFans won’t claim any of that revenue for itself. It takes a 20% cut from the subscription sales it facilitates. “As a creator-first organization, there are over 3 million creators on OnlyFans, meaning over 3 million small businesses now have access to a new monetization tool,” said OnlyFans CEO Ami Gan

in a press release.

Gan took over OnlyFans’ top role last year after the platform flirted with the idea of banning explicit content. Though that decision was ultimately reversed, OnlyFans hasn’t given up on safe-for-work content. Through an app called OFTV, it has launched a slate of original, nudity-free shows. Now, it’s looking to attract creators of all kinds by adding an ecommerce option to the lucrative subscriptions it already enables.

Though OnlyFans content is not necessarily NSFW, the first creators to take advantage of the Spring integration are hawking some risqué merch. Paige VanZant, a UFC fighter-turned-TikToker, has put up a Spring store on her OnlyFans account. If you want to advertise your “weak pullout game” through a backpack, you know where to go.
