The gamer of the uTure has been revealed.
After kicking off with 11 contestants, Ali-A‘s YouTube competition has found its champion. After 17 episodes, Ali-A (whose real name is Alastair Aiken) and his fans have selected Mikeeey as the winner of the talent show’s $100,000 prize.
uTure first launched in June as an exclusive YouTube series. As implied by its title — which rhymes with “future” — uTure attempted to look ahead in hopes of finding one of the streaming stars of the future. The contestants were put through a number of varied challenges that were designed to test their abilities as both game players and content creators.

Many of the uTure judges, including Ali-A, LDShadowLady, and DanTDM, are British; however, they ultimately chose an energetic American creator to take home the competition’s top prize. Mikeeey came on strong early in the show and impressed Ali-A by wearing a hot dog costume to match his Fall Guys avatar. In the ultimate episode, he took on fellow finalists BBelle and Ahrcéus and was able to outlast them. One of the last challenges required the contests to turn one of their videos into a YouTube Shorts clip. Mikeeey used Shorts as part of his submission video, and he used that to his advantage in the finale.
In addition to his cash prize, Mikeeey will also receive some helpful exposure from his victorious turn on uTure. In a statement, he thanked the judges and the audience (both of whom influenced the vote) for their support. “This show has been an amazing experience!” he said. “I can’t thank Ali-A and the judges enough for their feedback and support week after week. Thank you to everyone who voted for me too. I’ve always just wanted to brighten people’s day with my content, and I hope that’s shown through everything I’ve put forward for the show.”
Now that season one of uTure is over, what will happen to the show’s dedicated channel? Another go-round would be a logical next step, and according to a press release, “plans are underway to bring more uTure fun to YouTube again soon.”
