When YouTube Gaming revealed its July lineup, it had a “surprise announcement” slotted in for July 11. That date has arrived, and the streaming platform has followed through on its promise. It has revealed that Myth, a creator known for his Fortnite gameplay, has signed an exclusive contract with YouTube Gaming.
Myth, whose real name is Ali Kabbani, rose to prominence as the captain of Team SoloMid’s Fortnite team. Though Kabbani left TSM last year, he continues to stream Fortnite content, while occasionally mixing in other games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and Fall Guys. He revealed his move to YouTube Gaming in a video he shared on his personal channel, where he reaches more than 4.5 million subscribers. “Decisions have made me who I am,” Kabbani said, “and this is my decision.”

Many of the creators who have inked deals with YouTube Gaming have done so in order to level up their careers and unlock new financial opportunities. Lily ‘LilyPichu’ Ki, who announced her own deal with YouTube last week, said that she “wasn’t really going anywhere on Twitch” and wanted to “get paid” on YouTube.
Kabbani has pre-existing connections with several of the gamers who have signed exclusive contracts with YouTube over the past couple of years. Like Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop (who came to YouTube in 2019) and Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo (who signed his YouTube Gaming contract in 2021), Kabbani is partnered with Loaded. The talent management company, which works with esports pros, supported Kabbani’s move to YouTube.
“We’re excited to see Myth take this leap. He’s been so energized by the idea of getting to reestablish and grow his livestreaming community on YouTube, where it all began for him,” said Bridget Davidson, President of Talent at Loaded, in a statement. “Over the last several years, Ali has shown an incredible range in content from gaming, to IRL, to just chatting. The transition to YouTube will allow him to continue expanding his content, brand, and audience and we’re confident he will find immense success at his new live-streaming home.”
When he’s not playing games, Kabbani will use his YouTube channel to release different types of content that allow him to engage with his community. His first stream as a YouTube Gaming partner is slated for July 12.
