Valkyrae Re-Signs With YouTube Gaming

Valkyrae, the popular streamer whose real name is Rachell Hofstetter, has re-upped with YouTube Gaming, the 30-year-old announced via a short reveal video today.

Hofstetter left Twitch to join YouTube Gaming two years ago, but on Jan. 14 announced a break from streaming, Dexerto reports, following the expiration of her YouTube contract.

Hofstetter is a co-owner of the 100 Thieves, and has in recent months discussed investing away from streaming in order to pursue other business ventures – to varying degrees of success. She unveiled her inaugural merch venture in September, and then debuted a skin care company called RFLCT in November, which shuttered two weeks after launching amid widespread criticism about its scientific claims.

Other creators signed to YouTube Gaming include Ludwig Ahgren, Jack CouRage Dunlop, TimTheTatman, and DrLupo. Hofstetter operates three channels, and on her flagship hub has amassed 3.6 million subscribers and 5 million monthly views.
