Soon-to-be-public esports and gaming content organization FaZe Clan has announced today a multi-year deal that makes payments platform MoonPay its official crypto partner.
MoonPay currently enables millions of users in 160 countries to buy and sell cryptocurrencies and NFTs. The terms of its deal with FaZe Clan were not disclosed
The partnership will also comprise promotional media for MoonPay launching early next year within existing FaZe franchises and forthcoming originals, as well as creator events and additional campaigns that tap into FaZe’s professional esports teams. FaZe will also use MoonPay’s platform for its forthcoming NFT and digital goods initiatives.
FaZe Clan said its digital goods business will be called FaZe Forever, with ventures that highlight talented artists within its community. The partnership kicked off last weekend with a joint activation at Art Basel
in Miami (pictured above), where the company showcased digital art, NFTs, and virtual fashion.“As a leading voice in youth culture, it’s vital that we also deliver on our responsibility to protect our community as the world starts to embrace Web3,” FaZe CEO Lee Trink said in a statement. “Our partnership with MoonPay addresses both of these objectives by creating a strong foundation and secure pathway for our journey into the metaverse.”
In the realm of sports-betting, FaZe last month inked a comparable, multi-faceted partnership with DraftKings, making it the organization’s official sports-betting partner and comprising various promotional activations with FaZe talent.
