BBTV Is Making A Docuseries With Musician, Motorsports Lover T-Pain

Canadian digital network BroadbandTV (BBTV) is partnering on a docuseries with T-Pain that will showcase the hitmaker’s love for motorsports.

Titled Speed Freaks, the series is being produced by Paul Telner at BBTV, Trip Taylor at Sunny Skye Productions (the studio behind Jackass), and Jean-Pierre LaClette at Create The New Productions.

Its premise is to not only touch on T-Pain’s passion for drift car racing, but also explore the issue of diversity across the wider motorsports industry. In each episode, T-Pain will travel the globe to hear inspirational stories behind a diverse lineup of motorsports figures, while jumping behind the wheel to push his own fears to the limit.

“Cars, boats, and anything that goes super fast I genuinely love,” T-Pain said in a statement. “For years, I’ve been wanting to make a show around my passion for speed and finding diverse voices who have overcome unbelievable obstacles.”

“Premium content does more than excite audiences, it’s invaluable to advertisers as they look to effectively and authentically reach highly engaged fans,” added Telner, who serves as BBTV’s creative director. To this end, he notes that in July, BBTV unveiled Dinner With Priscilla, a forthcoming series that will give viewers a window into the celebrity friends and culinary creations of Priscilla Presley.
