Logan Paul Eliminated From ‘The Masked Singer’ Following “Bad Reputation” Performance

Logan Paul is the latest YouTuber to be booted from The Masked Singer, a hit reality franchise born in South Korea whereby celebs compete in a singing competition while uproariously costumed from head to toe.

During his brief tenure on the series — which is hosted by Nick Cannon (though Niecy Nash is filling in as Cannon recovers from COVID) and judged by Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Nicole Scherzinger — Paul was disguised as a character named ‘Grandpa Monster’, and last night aptly performed Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation.” During yesterday’s show, panelists incorrectly guessed that Grandpa Monster was quarterback Johnny Manziel, Jake Paul, Kevin Hart, and wrestler The Miz, reports The Wrap.

Paul told The Wrap that he’s a big fan of The Masked Singer

format, and was previously in talks to appear in a spinoff titled The Masked Dancer, but asked to be removed from that show after struggling in rehearsals.

“I did about an hour of dancing and got home and called [my PR team] and said, ‘Get me off this show. I cannot dance. I am not having fun. I’m sweating. This is a nightmare.’ And they did,” he said. “I said, but if you can get me Singer, I would be interested in that. And they came through.”

The Masked Singer is currently in its fifth season on Fox, and other contestants to be eliminated thus far include Kermit The Frog, Caitlyn Jenner, and actor Danny Trejo. Paul is not the first YouTube creator to appear on the series; JoJo Siwa competed in season three, while Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins competed in season two.
