The upcoming all-virtual 2021 NewFronts has revealed its full lineup of presenting companies, including first-time presenters A+E Networks, Entercom, Estrella Media, Penske Media Corp., and Vizio.
This year’s event will take place May 3-6, and will immediately be followed by another of the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s annual gatherings, the Podcast Upfront (May 10-14).
For the uninitiated, the NewFronts began in 2014 as digital media’s version of traditional TV “upfronts.” During the event, media publishers and social platforms do their best to entice ad dollars by showcasing their latest features to marketers. The Podcast Upfront is similar, except for the podcast industry.
The full list of 2021 NewFronts presenters includes: A+E Networks, Amazon, BBC News, BuzzFeed, Condé Nast, Crackle Plus, Digitas, Ellen Digital, Entercom, Estrella Media, FuboTV, Meredith, Penske Media Corp., Roku, Samsung Ads, Snap, TikTok, Tubi, Twitter, Verizon Media, Vevo, Vice Media Group, Vizio. and YouTube.
The gathering will also feature research sessions from Channel Factory, GSTV, OpenAP, Oracle Advertising, Quantcast, Charter’s Spectrum Reach, Tegna, and Tremor Video.
As Variety points out, noticeably absent from the 2021 presenters list is Hulu, one of the NewFronts’ founding members. The streaming service’s parent, Disney, has decided to integrate it into the Mouse House’s own solo upfront presentation May 18.
