Jake Paul Signs With Triller And Snoop Dogg-Owned ‘The Fight Club’ For April Boxing Bout

Jake Paul has booked his next bout in the ring.

The unceasingly controversial creator is set to fight a to-be-determined opponent on April 17 in a deal with Fight Club, a new boxing league launched by micro-video app Triller and the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg. This marks Fight Club’s second-ever event, following an exhibition match between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. in September — on which Paul fought on the undercard, scoring a headline-making knockout against former NBA star Nate Robinson.

Paul’s fight will serve as headliner for the April outing, and the event will also comprise three major undercards while spotlighting several musical acts and commentators. Leading up to the fight, Paul will share his training process in an exclusive Triller docuseries.

Proxima Media, the production company established by Hollywood producer Ryan Kavanaugh, which owns Triller, serves as the production and marketing partner for Fight Club.

“Hate me or love me, you can’t stop

me,” Paul said in a statement. “April 17th, I headline a global PPV event and I am getting my third knock-out in a row. I look to prove to the world that I am and I will remain one of the biggest names in this sport. Thank you to Triller, Bobby [Sarnevesht, Triller’s executive chairman], Ryan, and Snoop for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent to the world. Given their leadership, I know the visuals, performances, and production value on this show will be unlike anything anyone has seen.”

In addition to Robinson, Paul has previously defeated U.K. YouTubers AnEsonGib and Deji Olatunji in professional matches. He has recently called out as his next desired opponent Conor McGregor, a featherweight and lightweight MMA and boxing champion. Paul’s brother Logan, meanwhile, is set to face off against retired champ Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match on Feb. 20. That fight will air as a PPV event on Fanmio.
