Talent agency CAA has acquired Tandem and integrated the sales and creative agency into its digital media department to bolster branded content and digital partnerships efforts. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Four-year-old Tandem was founded by sisters Libby Bush and Kelsey Berlacher (pictured above), and has created digital-first campaigns for clients like Walt Disney Studios, ViacomCBS, Funny Or Die, Forbes Entertainment, and Tastemade in partnership with leading brands like Airbnb, Samsung, Starbucks, General Electric, and Clorox.
Tandem provides an array of services for its clients, including identifying partnership opportunities, a full-service creative team to translate brand strategy into visual storytelling campaigns, and representation in the realms of branded content, licensing, and endorsements.
Tandem’s founders and employees will remain onboard, seeking to identify and expand opportunities for all of CAA’s clients, the agency said.
“In four short years, Libby and Kelsey have built Tandem into a formidable business, with a world-class team that has delivered on all fronts,” CAA digital media department co-heads David Freeman and Frank Jung said in a joint statement. “The acquisition brings Tandem’s deep relationships, creative strategy expertise, and exceptional sales acumen together with CAA’s access and resources to deliver best-in-class opportunities for clients”
