YouTube TV is rounding out its channel lineup in quarantine.
The service has added Court TV to its programming offer — a newly-rebooted network devoted to legal news and the analysis of headline-grabbing trials.
“We’re thrilled to have Court TV added to YouTube TV at a time when consumer appetite for the real-life drama of true-crime and courtroom trials has never been greater,” Jonathan Katz, president and CEO of Scripps-owned Katz Networks — which is the parent company of 20-year-old Court TV — said in a statement.
Court TV comprises a team of seasoned anchors — including Vinnie Politan
, Julie Grant, Ted Rowlands, Chanley Painter, and Julia Jenae — with top legal analyst Ashleigh Banfield serving as a special contributor. Recent coverage has included: SCOTUS cases of national impact, the rape trial of Harvey Weinstein, and the criminal trials of Amber Guyger, Brooke Skylar Richardson, and Mark Sievers.YouTube TV most recently announced the addition of 14 ViacomCBS channels — including BET, MTV, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon — which have been absent from the service since its launch. All told, YouTube TV offers upwards of 70 channels and has amassed roughly 2 million subscribers.
