Gleam Futures, the digital talent management company that reps Marcus Butler, the Pixiwoo sisters, and Zoe Sugg, is foraying into traditional entertainment representation.
The early digital player has launched Gleam Entertainment — a 360-degree talent management arm for celebrities who began their careers on mainstream platforms (predominantly television), and who are now honing digitally-focused ventures. At launch, this roster includes Love Island contestants Paige Turley (1.8 million Instagram followers) and Eyal Booker (850,000 followers, pictured above), Loose Women host Nadia Sawalha, and Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire. Gleam says it will harness its long-established digital proficiency to help non-native digital stars.
Gleam Entertainment will furnish strategic career advice, digital content development, social media best practices, brand partnerships, and other opportunities. In partnership with London-based PR firm Belle PR
, Gleam will also provide media opportunities. The launch of Gleam Entertainment coincides with the company’s 10th anniversary. Gleam, which has offices in London and Los Angeles, was acquired by global ad giant Dentsu Aegis in June 2017. Other company divisions include influencer marketing agency Gleam Solutions, which launched last year, and branded content production outfit Gleam Studios.
“The power of digital platforms including social media in the entertainment business has evolved to a point whereby our specialist skills are now highly relevant and applicable across the whole celebrity and talent industry,” Gleam CEO Dom Smales said in a statement.
