Divimove, the dominant multi-channel network in Europe, has added to its portfolio with the acquisition of Tube One Networks — a Cologne, Germany-based digital talent management and influencer marketing agency whose 250 YouTube creators have amassed more than 300 million views.
Tube One, for instance, reps creators like German video duo Jay & Arya (1.8 million subscribers), unsolved mystery vlogger Jarow (2 million), taste-tester and comedy vlogger CrispyRob (1.8 million), and musician Danergy (793,000). Divimove declined to comment on the purchase price.
In a statement, Tube One CEO Mark Lucht said that the acquisition will serve to combine Divimove’s original production resources — and international presence — to amplify the reach of its creator fleet. Divimove is owned by the Luxembourg-based mass media conglomerate RTL Group, which also owns the Scandinavian MCN United Screens. In the wake of the Tube One purchase, Lucht will continue to lead the company, reporting to Divimove CEO Tobias Schiwek. Tube One co-founder Denis Müller will also continue to be involved.
“Our aim is to offer brands, talent, broadcasters, and platforms the shortest route to everyone in Europe,” Schiwek said in a statement. “We achieve this through award-winning stories produced by our digital studio UFA X, the reach of our leading talent networks in eight European markets, and our team’s strategic expertise.”
Per a release, Berlin-based Divimove and Tube One will employ a combined 240 staffers, and expect to hire 20 additional employees in the future. All told, Divimove reps 1,500 creators in eight European markets who generate a combined 3.5 billion monthly views.
