British lifestyle vlogger Saffron Barker has landed a spot on Strictly Come Dancing — the U.K.’s answer to Dancing With The Stars.
Barker, 19, is the second major YouTuber to be tapped by the reality competition after Joe Sugg. On Strictly Come Dancing, which airs on BBC One, celebrities are paired with professional ballroom dancers and compete in themed performances, which are scored by a panel of expert judges. In his season, Sugg made it to the final round and ended as the runner-up. Other competitors this year include footballer David James, comedian Chris Ramsey, and EastEnders star Emma Barton.
“This is such a dream for me,” Barker said of the honor, per The Watford Observer. “I’m excited to follow in [Sugg’s] footsteps. He’s done absolutely amazing. I’ve got a lot to live up to.”
Barker has 2 million subscribers on her flagship YouTube channel. She also has an ongoing relationship with British mass retailer Primark, and released a 22-piece, summer-inspired collection of travel essentials — including suitcases, towels, and pajamas — earlier this month.
