Ahead of Black Mirror’s fifth season premiere, slated for June 5, Netflix has tapped several top Latinx YouTube stars to promote the futuristic thriller.
Shots-repped multi-threat Rudy Mancuso will direct, score, and star in a short-form video series dubbed Little Black Mirror that will comprise three mini-episodes aimed at Spanish-speaking audiences, Variety reports. The series will roll out on the Netflix América Latina channel — with installments dropping on May 26, June 2, and June 6 — and will be inspired by the Black Mirror universe.
In addition to Mancuso, the three-part promo series will feature a slew of top digital creators and luminaries from the Shots roster, including Lele Pons
, Juanpa Zurita, Maia Mitchell, Anwar Jibawi, Hannah Stocking, Jeff Wittek (pictured above), Delaney Glazer, and Alesso. Netflix specifically sought to tap Latin American social stars, Variety reports, to create their own takes on Black Mirror. The fact that there are three mini-episodes mirrors the fact that Black Mirror’s fifth season will comprise just three installments, with Miley Cyrus set to star in one of the episodes. You can check out the trailer for Little Black Mirror below:
