‘Games Of Thrones’ Grey Worm Actor Sees Massive YouTube Spike This Season

Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams isn’t the only cast member supercharging new business ventures as the beloved HBO series comes to an end.

British actor Jacob Anderson, who plays intrepid army commander ‘Grey Worm’ on Thrones, also sidelines as an R&B singer under the alias Raleigh Ritchie. And Ritchie’s YouTube channel is seeing a massive spike in views ahead of next Sunday’s series finale, the video giant reports.

Since the premiere of season 8 on April 14, Anderson’s channel has been earning a daily average of 4.9 million views. That marks a 1,100% increase over daily average viewership on Anderson’s channel in 2019 prior to the series’ debut. Some of Anderson’s most-viewed music videos to date include “Stronger Than Ever” (8.2 million views) and “The Greatest” (5.1 million views). Anderson, who is signed to Columbia Records, is currently standing strong at 205,000 subscribers and 38 million lifetime views.

Anderson’s spike may be part of a greater trend around Game Of Thrones social videos amid the rollout of its final season. Across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram, Game Of Thrones-related videos (including both official and user-generated content) have been collecting roughly 100 million views per day since the beginning of April, according to Tubular Labs.
