Ahead of its annual TwitchCon gathering, which will take place this weekend in San Jose, Calif., Twitch has announced that this year’s convention will host a ‘Twitch Talks’ speaking series. And the star-studded roster includes arguably the nation’s most popular gaming creator Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Twitch co-founder and CEO Emmett Shear, YouTube OG Felicia Day, skateboarder Tony Hawk, and filmmaker Kevin Smith.
Talks will take place throughout the weekend, with Hawk kicking off the series on Friday during a discussion about how creators can build and sustain their personal brands. Blevins and Shear will also speak on Friday, talking about Twitch’s roots and where the platform wants to go looking forward.
On Saturday, Smith will participate in a Q&A about his work, sharing experiences that he thinks could help streamers hone their own. Day will wrap things up on Sunday with a chat about “defining yourself as a creator, sticking to your brand, the importance of self-care as you grow, and the role Twitch can play in building a healthy community online,” the company says.
