Hila Klein’s ‘Teddy Fresh’ Collabs With Fellow Streetwear Label RipNDip

Teddy Fresh, the streetwear brand founded by h3h3ProductionsHila Klein, is continuing its rapid ascent.

Klein, who launched the colorful, 80s-inspired line of apparel and accessories last fall, pacted with national retailer Zumiez in July, bringing Teddy Fresh to 600 stores across the U.S. Now, Teddy Fresh has found another partner with a cult following in the streetwear space: the clothing label RipNDip. Together, the two brands launched a co-designed line over the weekend.

Both brands feature an adorable cartoon mascot — in RipNDip’s case an impish cat named Lord Nermal, and in Teddy Fresh’s case a bear aptly dubbed Teddy. The RipNDip x Teddy Fresh line comprises eight items — all in the giddy, pastel hues that have become Teddy Fresh’s signature — showcasing both cartoon mascots flipping their middle fingers. Items ranges in price from $12 for a sticker pack

to $80 for a hoodie.

Both Klein and her husband, Ethan — who is the other half of the h3h3 comedy and commentary channel — attended a launch event last weekend at RipNDip’s Los Angeles flagship. Lines streamed out the door as Ethan and Hila — who recently announced that they are pregnant with their first child — greeted fans and signed items from the collection.

RipNDip was founded by 31-year-old skateboarder and entrepreneur Ryan O’Connor out of his parents’ garage roughly a decade ago. The brand, known for its crude sense of humor and the aforementioned Nermal, is in 1,000 doors globally, according to WWD, and counts a staff of 10 people. Despite the Kleins’ massive social presence, RipNDip is also fairly savvy in that department, with 841,000 Instagram followers (as compared to Teddy Fresh’s 221,000 followers).
