Group Nine Media Names Former Go90 Exec Jeff Siegel SVP Of Distribution

Facebook video outfitter Group Nine Media — the parent company behind noted brands like NowThis, Thriller, The Dodo, and Seeker — has hired an ex-Go90 executive to serve as its SVP of distribution.

Jeff Siegel will be responsible for expanding the reach of Group Nine’s content library across all platforms globally, charging both sales and strategy. Siegel formerly filled a similar niche at Verizon’s now-defunct mobile video hub, where he served as head of licensing and syndication. At Group Nine, Siegel will report to the company’s chief network and IP management officer, Mickey Meyer, and will be based out of its New York headquarters.

“Jeff has deep expertise in sourcing and negotiating TV and digital

content sales and licensing deals with leading global platforms,” Meyer stated. “As we continue to expand Group Nine’s IP library and evolve onto new platforms and into new formats, Jeff’s experience will be invaluable to helping us connect with new and diverse audiences around the world.”
