NewFronts West, a two-day event kicking off Tuesday, October 9 in Los Angeles, marks the first time that the digital media buyer-aimed circus will venture from its home turf in New York City.
And while the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), which annually hosts the NewFronts, announced this year’s publisher presenters in August, the organization has added some notable star wattage to its speaker roster, including celebrities who hail from both traditional and digital media.
NewFronts West will welcome guests including Anna Faris, Felicity Huffman, Rainn Wilson, and Brooklyn Decker. In addition to being celebrated performers, each speaker has built a business in the digital space: Faris hosts a popular podcast called Anna Faris Is Unqualified, Huffman created a website for moms in 2012 dubbed WhatTheFlicka.com, Wilson is the founder of SoulPancake, and Decker recently launched a fashion app startup called Finery.
Given that Los Angeles serves as a hub for digital creators, a number of influencers are also slated to speak at the event, including filmmaker Freddie Wong
, Brat staple Annie LeBlanc, vlogger-actor couple Summer McKeen and Dylan Jordan, and AwesomenessTV host Hunter March. While Huffman will deliver opening remarks alongside IAB‘s EVP of industry initiatives, Anna Bager, Wong will discuss brand deals with Beau Avril, global head of business operations for YouTube-owned influencer marketing agency FameBit.Furthermore, lifestyle creators Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz will be on hand to co-host the first-ever Streamy Brand Awards. An offshoot of the Streamys — which are produced Dick Clark and Tubefilter — the Brand Awards will distribute four statuettes to mark some of the year’s biggest achievements in digital marketing.
