Noted actor-comedian Marlon Wayans is licking his digital chops.
Like many mainstream figures who have segued onto YouTube, Wayans — who is perhaps best known for his appearances in the comedy classics White Chicks and Scary Movie — has launched his own channel alongside digital production and talent management firm Shots Studios. Wayans’ channel will feature comedic sketches in the same vein as the relatable clips that Shots churns out for the rest of its roster, including Lele Pons, Rudy Mancuso, Anwar Jibawi, and Hannah Stocking.
These creators will also guest on Wayans’ channel, as he has already done in clips alongside both Jibawi and Stocking. All told, Shots’ channels collect 400 million views per month. And Wayans’ channel is off to a roaring start with roughly 43,000 subscribers in two days, as well as 238,000 views on his sole video thus far — a trailer for what’s to come

He’s hilarious and all his content, from his movies to his shows, are timeless,” Shots Studio CEO John Shahidi said in a statement. “He’s such an incredible comedic mind and he has a lot of amazing ideas for his YouTube channel.”
In addition to YouTube, Wayans has a relationship with Netflix. He appeared in the 2017 feature Naked, and is also in production on Sextuplets, on which he will play six roles.
