YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Roll Out To 4 More Countries, Bringing Tally To 21

YouTube’s just-revamped subscription platform YouTube Premium — and its new streaming service YouTube Music — have rolled out to four additional European countries: the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and Luxembourg.

This brings the total tally of countries in which the services are available to 21. YouTube Premium and YouTube Music were available in 17 total markets as of June, when it most recently added 12 new territories including, Canada, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the U.K. In Europe, subscriptions for YouTube Music and YouTube Premium are reportedly priced at €9.99 and €11.99, respectively.

Music Business Worldwide notes that YouTube could next be eyeing India on its continued global foray, given that a job opening for a music content partnerships manager

is currently listed on Google Careers hub, based in Bengaluru — an Indian tech epicenter. The role consists of establishing relationships with local artists and relationships to secure partnerships in the region. Music Business spotted similar listings for roughly 15 new roles in countries like Japan and Singapore earlier this year.
