‘Daily Show’ Host Trevor Noah To Emcee Ad Council’s Annual Dinner On December 5

The Ad Council is set to once again honor individuals who have taken strides to leave a positive mark on the world. The 65th edition of the nonprofit organization’s Public Service Award Dinner will convene on December 5 in New York City, with The Daily Show host Trevor Noah serving as the evening’s emcee.

Noah will help Ad Council fete difference-makers like IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, who will receive the titular Public Service Award during the dinner. IBM is set to work with Ad Council on an upcoming campaign that will encourage young women to get involved in STEM fields.

“The Annual Dinner is one of the most inspiring evenings for our industry, where we get together to celebrate the indelible impact of our collective work on behalf of critical social issues, including suicide prevention, diversity and inclusion and the opioid epidemic,” said Lisa Sherman

, President and CEO of Ad Council, in a press release. “We’re thrilled to honor Ginni Rometty and her extraordinary legacy of social good, with Trevor Noah as our emcee.”

Ad Council works closely with social media influencers as part of its Creators For Good initiative, which encourages videomakers to champion noble causes. Creators like Ricky Dillon and Jojo Siwa attended last year’s Public Service Award Dinner, which was hosted by another late-night TV personality, Samantha Bee.

Those who wish to attend the 2018 edition of the dinner can find more information about the event by visiting the Ad Council website.
