YouTube Premium Snags Girl-Power Comedy Produced By AwesomenessTV

Just after wrapping up its sizable presence at VidCon, AwesomenessTV another project it plans to bring to YouTube Premium. The media company, which has produced programs for platforms like YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix, is behind Kat & June Think Stuff, a comedy that will present the inner monologues of two women as they become friends with one another.

The co-stars are Alexia Dox, who appeared in the Hulu series Quick Draw, and Tenea Intriago, who had a role in the 2017 horror movie Happy Death Day. The supporting cast includes Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata. Those performers will work with creator and writer Mackenzie Yeager, who is bringing Kat & June to life with help from co-showrunner Jen Braeden

.

AwesomenessTV, acquired by DreamWorks Animation in 2013, has long been one of the most reliable content suppliers for YouTube Premium. It produced one of the first shows for the platform, which was initially known as YouTube Red. Since then, its works include Foursome, which is led by YouTube star Jenn McAllister and has spanned multiple seasons on YouTube Premium.
